Blaccmass is a notable producer who has in recent times gained much traction through viral videos surfacing on instagram and twitter, with many people in the comments scrambling to find the names of these tracks. Drill beats with classics from all eras allow for Blaccmass to recreate these iconic sounds that people loved in an inventive way.
The Atlanta producer started releasing mashups since 2017 but only recently received that much deserved traction.
Blaccmass's fame became apparent to me when I saw a snippet on instagram of his most viewed song entitled “if Pop Smoke was on a Dr Dre beat (Still WOO)”, since the release, it has grossed over 1 million views on youtube.
I'm not going to spoil all of the amazing mashups Blaccmass has created because you can go find them yourself. But here's a few for your beautiful faces. :D
Lets start with Gotye’s Iconic ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ with Playboi Carti ‘Woke Up Like This’.
Or even Ariana on Drill?
Let's be honest, When you see Beethoven and Pop Smoke in the same title of a youtube video, does it not make you want to click play?
We can all say we needed more 50 Cent & Pop Smoke.
I believe this is going to supply the industry with a new sound opening up opportunities for artists like Ariana Grande to jump on a New York drill beats. Now wouldn't that be a sick official release.
Now going onto one of the other artists I mentioned earlier: Zuez Makes Music mashes up lofi hip hop beats with popular music of all genres. The end result = amazing songs to study to.
